Recently, there have been new regulations on the documents for exports to Thailand. These regulations mainly provide detailed instructions regarding the consignee and goods transshipment to ensure the safety and correctness of exported goods.
According to the new regulations, the consignee must be a local company in Thailand, unless there is a transshipment clause in the bill of lading. If the consignee is To Order, the notify party must also comply with this requirement. In addition, goods other than general cargo (Dry Cargo) are not accepted for transshipment to Myanmar.
For general cargo transshipped to Myanmar, it is necessary to contact the booking customer service and provide relevant information as required when booking, and display the correct transshipment clause in the goods description of the bill of lading. At the same time, if the customer wants to transship to other countries by themselves, the Thai company or agent must also be shown on the bill of lading.
The implementation of these new regulations aims to ensure the safety and accuracy of exported goods, and at the same time protect the economic and commercial interests of Thailand. For merchants who need to export to Thailand, it is very important to understand and comply with these regulations. Only in this way can the safe transportation and timely delivery of goods be ensured, thereby improving the success rate of export business.
